While the youth group meetings have been on a summer break, we have stayed connected through our "Watering Wednesday" message that is sent out to students and their parent's each week by email and text messaging. I have included a sample below. Regular meetings are Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the Annex.
Have you ever stopped to think about how reliant on technology we are? We don't really think about it but we just expect that when we flip the light switch the light will come on, when we want to watch TV or play video games they will always work. Last night as I was finishing last minute things for our trip, the power went out. Suddenly, I was powerless to do anything...I stumbled in the dark to find a flashlight, then batteries (because the flashlight was dead), then a candle and a lighter. Now what? I couldn't finish the laundry, couldn't watch TV, couldn't pack for our trip, couldn't finish my work emails (no wifi), couldn't read -it was too dark!!
Why is it that we have so much faith that when we flip the light switch that there will be light but sometimes we don't trust that Jesus will always be there. How is it that we never question that man-made things will just work but we sometimes have doubts that God the creator of the universe is always faithful? I decided, what I could do was spend time with God, praying for my friends, my family, those who were hurting, for the linemen that were out fixing our electric late at night away from their families and thanking Him for always being there especially in the darkness.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119 :105

During the school year we meet every Wednesday night at 6:30 in the Gym for open Gym time, then around 7pm we head over to The Annex to have snack, Worship, lesson, and small group time. We always have a ton of fun and friends are always welcome!
The youth can also participate in a variety of other activities within the church as well, such as, the praise band, mission trips (some designed just for the youth group), puppet team, pasta dinners, and there is even a summer volleyball league with the churches in the area!
The Master’s Puppets meets Sundayevenings in the Annex. Anyone (youth or adult) that is interested in learning more about the group or possibly joining is welcome to attend.
