Help Families Rebuild After Hurricane Helene with UMCOR Flood Buckets

Hurricane Helene Relief: UMCOR Flood Buckets
Hurricane Helene has left a trail of destruction across the southeastern United States, affecting millions of people. With over 130 lives lost, record-breaking flooding, and thousands of homes destroyed in areas like Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, communities are in urgent need of help. Entire neighborhoods remain underwater, with many families left without basic necessities.

UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) is actively responding by collecting cleaning kits, also known as flood buckets, to assist families in cleaning and rebuilding their homes. These buckets are filled with essential supplies to help clear debris, clean water damage, and restore homes. You can make a difference by donating a bucket or the supplies to fill one.

How You Can Help:

  • Assemble a flood bucket by following the instructions at UMCOR Cleaning Kit Instructions.
  • Drop off your assembled bucket or supplies at Murrysville First UMC, using the lower office entrance on the left side of the building.
  • Financial donations are also welcome, and 100% of all donations go directly to helping those on the ground, none of the funds are used for administrative or other costs.

Let’s come together to bring hope to those affected by this catastrophic storm. Every bucket makes a tangible difference in someone’s recovery. For more details, visit UMCOR's website or call Pastor Jack Tickle at 724-448-4934.
